These Terms and Conditions of Sale, hereinafter the “TCS”, apply to bookings and services offered by CHATEAU DE CHARMEIL, including guest rooms, the private gîte, event hosting and related services.
Any booking implies the client’s full and complete acceptance of these TCS.
1. SERVICE PROVIDER IDENTITY

2. PURPOSE
These TCS define the conditions under which CHATEAU DE CHARMEIL offers tourist accommodation, private gîte, guest rooms, event hosting and related services.
The services offered may include in particular:
– booking guest rooms;
– booking the private gîte;
– organising or hosting private or professional events;
– additional services related to the stay;
– catering services, where offered;
– beverage sales, where offered in compliance with applicable regulations.
3. BOOKING
Bookings may be made:
– through the website www.chateaudecharmeil.com;
– by email;
– by telephone;
– through a partner booking platform;
– directly with CHATEAU DE CHARMEIL.
The booking becomes firm and final only after written confirmation by CHATEAU DE CHARMEIL or by the booking platform used.
This confirmation may be sent by email.
CHATEAU DE CHARMEIL reserves the right to refuse any abnormal, incomplete or fraudulent booking, any booking contrary to these TCS, or any booking made by a client with whom there is a previous dispute.
4. ACCOMMODATION CAPACITY
Each accommodation is intended for a determined maximum capacity.
The client undertakes to respect the maximum capacity indicated at the time of booking.
As an indication:

– event: [capacity to be completed] person(s).
Any additional person not provided for at the time of booking must be subject to a prior request and written agreement from CHATEAU DE CHARMEIL.
CHATEAU DE CHARMEIL reserves the right to refuse access to any undeclared person or to any person exceeding the authorised maximum capacity.
5. RATES
The applicable rates are those indicated on the website, in the quotation, in the booking confirmation or on the booking platform used at the time of booking.
Prices are expressed in euros, including all taxes, unless otherwise stated.
Rates may vary depending on:
– the period;
– the length of stay;
– the type of accommodation;
– the number of guests;
– the services selected;
– special offers or specific conditions applicable;
– events or private hire arrangements.
Rates may be modified at any time, but services are billed on the basis of the rate accepted by the client when the booking is confirmed.
6. TOURIST TAX
The tourist tax, where applicable, is payable by the client.
Its amount is determined in accordance with applicable local regulations.
It may be included in the price or billed separately according to the terms specified at the time of booking.

7. INCLUDED SERVICES
The services included in the price are those expressly mentioned in the booking confirmation, quotation, offer or description of the accommodation concerned.
Unless otherwise stated, extras, additional services, meals, beverages, event services, cleaning fees, deposits, tourist tax and any supplements are not included in the base rate.
8. PAYMENT
Payment terms are specified at the time of booking.
Depending on the booking method used, payment may be made:
– by bank card;
– by bank transfer;
– through a partner booking platform;
– by any other method accepted by CHATEAU DE CHARMEIL.
A deposit, prepayment, guarantee or bank card imprint may be requested to confirm the booking.
Failure to pay within the required timeframe may result in cancellation of the booking.
9. ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
Arrival and departure times are specified at the time of booking or in the booking confirmation.
As an indication:
– arrival: [time to be completed];

Any early arrival or late departure must be requested in advance and is subject to the written agreement of CHATEAU DE CHARMEIL.
Additional charges may apply.
10. CANCELLATION OR MODIFICATION BY THE CLIENT
Cancellation and modification conditions are those specified at the time of booking, in the quotation, in the booking confirmation or on the booking platform used.
Any cancellation or modification request must be sent in writing.
Depending on the date of cancellation, the type of service booked and the applicable conditions, amounts paid may be retained in whole or in part.
Where the booking was made through a third-party platform, the cancellation and modification conditions of that platform may apply.
11. CANCELLATION OR MODIFICATION BY CHATEAU DE CHARMEIL
CHATEAU DE CHARMEIL may cancel or modify a booking in the event of force majeure, exceptional circumstances, unavailability of the accommodation, safety reasons or any event beyond its control.
In such a case, CHATEAU DE CHARMEIL will endeavour to offer an alternative solution or, failing that, to refund the sums paid for the cancelled service, excluding any additional compensation unless otherwise required by law.
12. NO-SHOW
If the client does not arrive on the scheduled date and has not cancelled in accordance with the applicable conditions, the booking may be considered cancelled and the sums paid may be retained under the conditions provided.
13. HOUSE RULES
Clients undertake to respect the premises, furniture, equipment, tranquillity of the property, other guests, staff and neighbours.
The client is responsible for any damage caused by themselves, the persons accompanying them or any animals they bring.
Any behaviour contrary to public order, safety, hygiene, tranquillity or the image of the establishment may result in immediate termination of the stay without refund.
14. PETS
Pets may be accepted under certain conditions and subject to prior agreement by CHATEAU DE CHARMEIL.
A supplement may apply.
Clients remain fully responsible for their pets and any damage or nuisance they may cause.
15. LIABILITY
CHATEAU DE CHARMEIL cannot be held liable for damage resulting from the client’s fault, misuse of the premises or equipment, third-party actions, force majeure or events beyond its control.
Clients are responsible for their personal belongings. CHATEAU DE CHARMEIL cannot be held responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings except in cases provided for by law.
16. FORCE MAJEURE
Neither party may be held liable for the non-performance or delay in performance of its obligations resulting from a force majeure event as defined by French law and case law.
17. COMPLAINTS
Any complaint relating to a stay or service must be sent in writing to:

The complaint must be sufficiently detailed and sent within a reasonable period after the stay or service concerned.
18. CONSUMER MEDIATION
After contacting CHATEAU DE CHARMEIL in writing and failing a satisfactory response, the consumer client may refer the matter free of charge to the consumer mediator:

19. PERSONAL DATA
Personal data collected in connection with bookings and services is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy available on the website.
20. APPLICABLE LAW AND JURISDICTION
These TCS are governed by French law.
In the event of a dispute, the parties will first seek an amicable solution.
Failing amicable resolution, the dispute may be brought before the competent courts under ordinary law conditions.
